Great Ocean Road Health (Apollo Bay and Lorne) are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Graduate Nurse program for Enrolled Nurses.

The program will be over a year and provide a supportive environment to consolidate knowledge and develop your nursing skills.  There will be an opportunity to work in our Aged Care area, Acute and Urgent Care Services. There is an extensive education program at both sites which you will be actively encouraged to participate in. Consideration can be given to flexible shift times.

The successful candidates will have a flexible approach and be committed to providing Person Centred approach in our Montessori model of care.

Assistant Childcare Educator

An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Childcare Educator to work with a great community within a well-equipped occasional child centre at the Lorne Community House. Work alongside our Team Leader to care for up to 14 children aged approx. 18 months to 4 years in our child care program.

After Hours Coordinator – Night Duty

GORH, are seeking After Hours Coordinators to work at our Apollo Bay Hospital Campus.  The After Hours Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the clinical care along with managing the Hospital after hours. The AHC is a leadership role that includes the delegation and supervision of other staff on the shift ensuring that patient care is of the highest standard.

The successful applicant will be a Registered Nurse with at least 5 years’ experience and will be on night and evening shifts whilst being the After Hours Coordinator for Aged Care and Urgent Care. Emergency Department and Advanced Life Support Education is highly desirable. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability and experience to lead a clinical team of nurses and carers is essential.

Permanent Part Time – Apollo Bay

The role will involve general maintenance and outdoor duties across the Organisation to ensure everything is in good working order.

The scope of maintenance work will be scheduled according to the Organisation’s needs.

Essential Criteria, Applications & Closing Date

Responsibilities include:

  • Working to a routine Maintenance Schedule
  • Coordinate with external contractors
  • Stock control of maintenance consumables
  • Basic gardening and grounds keeping
  • Moving furniture/materials, rubbish to the tip/recycling centres
  • Ensuring Facility is presentable and clean; including high cleaning and external areas

 

Hours are part time, up to 20 hours/week

 

Desirable Qualities

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, although on the job training provided
  • Positive attitude, a good work ethic and pro-activeness is crucial
  • Full driver’s license is required
  • Physically fit
  • Good time management, communication skills and ability to problem solve
