Ms Carissa Brock has been appointed the Acting CEO for Great Ocean Road Health.
Carissa has experience in executive roles at Otway Health as Director Corporate Services, acting Chief Operations Officer, along with acting periods as Chief Executive Officer at Otway Health over the past three years, and later the Lorne Community Hospital. In the private sector, Carissa has also held senior management & business consulting roles in Melbourne, Sydney and London.
Carissa has experience in a wide range of services delivered through a public health model, including areas of community healthcare, urgent care, acute hospital-based treatment and aged care.
Great Ocean Road Health Board Chair Nicholas Salkeld is delighted to welcome Ms Brock to the role.
“Carissa’s previous involvement in developing urgent care service delivery models, including the introduction of nurse practitioners and establishment of the Primary Health Network Chronic Disease program, introducing health coaching, makes Carissa a valuable contributor to the Executive team at Great Ocean Road Health.”
Ms Brock said she was looking forward to working across both sites and leading the many diverse health care teams at Great Ocean Road Health including Acute & Urgent Care, Medical Centres, Aged Care, Allied Health & Community services, to ensure achievement of patient outcomes.
