The Chair of Great Ocean Road Health, Mr Nicholas Salkeld announced he will be stepping down as Chairperson into the Vice Chair role in 2020.

“It has been an absolute pleasure to lead the Board through the amalgamation process over the last 6 months. Due to family commitments, I am unable to manage the important duties of the Chairperson or lead Great Ocean Road Health in the immediate future.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce our current Deputy Chair, Dr Joy Humphreys, will be taking up the position. Joy will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the appointment, and I am excited to continue to support and work alongside her and our 10 fellow Board members”.

Joy was appointed to the Otway Health Board on 1 July, 2016, and since then has been Chair of the Otway Health Community Advisory Committee.  Joy’s first career was as a Registered Nurse , and Midwife, which eventually led her to study organisational dynamics. She is now an organisational consultant, facilitator and coach, and director of The Humphreys Group, working with Boards and executive teams.   In her spare time, she raises llamas on her farm in Wongarra.
