Great Ocean Road Health staff and Board are thrilled to welcome newly appointed Director of Corporate Services and Chief Procurement Officer, Jon Laughlin.

Jon has worked in a number of healthcare roles across Victoria, he is currently in the position of Operations Manager at Epworth Medical Imaging (EMI) in Geelong.

“This role is highly multifaceted requiring me to possess a broad range of skills and organise my time and priorities efficiently. I was employed during the development phase of the Geelong site, which has progressed to 200 beds and growing rapidly. My role has evolved from the initial commissioning phase, through to the existing operational and growth phase. During my time at EMI, I have also acted in additional Operations Manager roles of up to 5 sites, concurrently in Geelong and throughout Melbourne”, said Jon.

Great Ocean Road Health CEO, Sandy Chamberlin said, “we are delighted to appoint Jon to our growing team of professionals. His strong background in managing departments within the financial, clinical, clerical, business and quality and safety, will certainly benefit our staff at GORH. Jon is a proven leader and will no doubt build on the success already shown since amalgamation.”

Mr Laughlin said he is really looking forward to working with staff across both campuses and to make a real difference with positive patient outcomes and staff well-being.

Mr Laughlin will commence with Great Ocean Road Health on Monday 8 February, 2021.
