PLEASE SUPPORT OUR 2022 PALLATIVE CARE ANNUAL APPEAL

Not everyone enjoys talking about end of life or death. At our healthcare service we often talk about how to make a patient’s end of life and the experience for their loved ones as comforting as possible.

This year our annual appeal has a focus on providing additional palliative care services to our community. Palliative care focuses on relieving suffering and improving the quality of life for seriously ill and dying patients and provides advice, respite and bereavement support for families.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP?

In Apollo Bay your donation will assist us to create a space within the service to provide a more homely environment for the final stages of a person’s life while still providing 24-hour care and direct access to a team of professionals.

With your help, we will introduce the relaxed surroundings to allow the patient and their family and friends to focus on being together. We will provide a comfortable setting for family, digital connections to family and friends unable to be together, music if desired, and bereavement support.
